Having been held up by a knife-wielding mugger, I especially appreciate the Cop of the Month for May 2008. Officer Muhammad Ahmed answered a call about a robbery involving a knife last month, and while cruising on the look-out with the victim, he not only apprehended and arrested
that (alleged) perpetrator, but THREE MORE robbery suspects as well. Four arrests in the same night. Well done, Officer Ahmed!
Perhaps his efforts, along with the other officers in the 72nd, contributed to last week's lack of robbery complaints. Not one the entire week. Pretty darn cool.
