It's close enough to warrant a walk-by, and the 69th Street Pier is always a sight. Hopefully the weather will be decent for the celebration.
Beginning at 10 AM and continuing through to 6 PM, there will be green (is it capitalized now?) vendors, booths of green education, children's activities, and raffles. Local music, arts and crafts, and other activities will be going on. Get directions and check it out more details here.
If it's not enough to hold your attention, just jog on over to Owl's Head Park and enjoy the views, playgrounds, and occasional whiff of refuse from the processing plant.
