Friday Reading: Bartering, No New Buildings, Chocolate

Barter your way through the recession. The Brooklyn Eagle has the lowdown on the Sunset Park/Bay Ridge Community Connections TimeBank program. I'll trade tutoring for the English Regents for someone to clean my apartment!

The Brooklyn Eagle also has an article about development (or the attempts to stop it) in Sunst Park. From the article: Councilwoman Sara M. González (D-Sunset Park) sent a strong letter to Buildings Commissioner Robert LiMandri, officially requesting a moratorium on the issuance of new building permits for the area bounded by the Sunset Park Zoning Study, until the City Council votes on the proposal and the ULURP process is complete.

And now the truly important information. Sunset Park's very own maker of chocolate, Tumbador Chocolate, is highlighted in The Jewish Week.
