It's not actually a cathedral; it's a basilica. The diocesan cathedral is St. James in downtown Brooklyn.
It's easy to be confused on this point, since because St. James is relatively small and OLPH is immense, a lot of major diocesan events that would normally be held in the cathedral get held in OLPH instead.
Thanks for the information. It's far from my expertise to know the difference.
