Before the Storm

A little after 10 AM, the sky grew noticeably darker. The color was incredibly beautiful, so I snapped a couple of photos. You can just barely see the Statue of Liberty to the right of St. Michael's if you enlarge the photo. Sadly, my cheapo camera didn't catch the lightning strikes that hit New Jersey. We (along with the 40 or so dancers by the benches and tables) hightailed it out of there after seeing them.
