Saturday will be a busy day in Sunset. In addition to the SPAN meeting, voter registration, the Relay for Life, and general fun in the sun, a major health fair with free services and activities will descend on the Sunset Park Recreation Center at 7th Avenue and 43rd Street.
From 11 AM to 3 PM, come to the Sunset Park Rec Center to avail yourself of these free services:
Mammography * Blood Glucose Screening * Blood Pressure Screening * Cholesterol Screening * Nutrition Education * Fitness Classes * HIV Testing and Counseling * Cooking Demonstrations * Information about Community Resources * Activities for the Kids *
The Health Fair is sponsored by Project WAVE (War Against the Virus Escalating), Americorps Vista, and the National Association of Community Health Centers.
