Benches are Repaired in Sunset Park

I noticed recently that several benches, especially on the central promenade, have received new pieces in the form of pristine boards to replace the old ones. It would be nice if they weren't painted in that institutional beige, but that's just my preference. The wood looks really nice just as it is.

This is the bench right next to one of the "fixed" benches.

Either someone was taking out aggression on the wood or it's next in line for replacement.


Some benches along the promenade were covered in yellow Caution tape over the weekend, so perhaps the entire lot of benches are being inspected and repaired. Let's hear it for fewer splinters!
