I know I've seen these countless times, but I had the opportunity to really look on Monday. Once you are in the entry rotunda, just look up and to your right or left. I suggest starting with the left.
It shows a bucolic Sunset Park at what looks like different stages in its history. And even though the stages in history all appear at the same time, and even though the compositions rearrange geographic reality just a bit, it's still lovely. The kids at the local district 15 schools helped on these.
To the right, another mural shows picnics, swimmers, a playground, and a baseball game with dozens of on-lookers. Again, not quite a reflection of reality, but still much better than blank walls.
Just wanted to share.
