New York Times Chimes in on Re-Zoning

It's a lukewarm but balanced article about some of the concerns and plans regarding the re-zoning proposal. The second public hearing is tomorrow, 1 PM at OLPH's auditorium (6th Avenue between 59th and 60th streets).

Demystifying Zoning Session this Tuesday

Sponsored by the same people who brought Demystifying Affordable Housing, this Tuesday the Marien Heim Houses will host a bi-lingual (English/Spanish) session on Demystifying Zoning (much more confusing, I think) on October 28th from 6 PM - 9 PM.

In collaboration with the Fifth Avenue Committee, the Center for Urban Pedagogy will be leading a number of bilingual workshops (English and Spanish) on affordable housing and zoning. We'll be gathering feedback on the latest versions of our Envisioning Development teaching tools. The workshops are free and open to the public, but space is limited.
