What You See in Sunset Park: Alligator Hands

It's obscene, really. And it certainly isn't something you expect to see on the sidewalk. At least I don't expect to see it, but I did. They look strangely human, but that's the vegetarian in me talking, I'm sure. For $3.99 a pound you can take a claw from an alligator home with you.

That's pretty extreme. I have seen a lot of unusual food stuff in Chinatown, but never anything like this!

I was told that alligator meat helps with soothing coughs.

Holy Cow. I mean 'gator.

I have eaten crocodile (tail),once, in South Africa. But I think I may have lost my coffee if I'd seen this.

We got a menu under our door the other day that proudly featured just about anything you can imagine from duck feet, to stir fried loofas, to pork stomach - no alligator hands though. I think I'd have flown right off the sidewalk if I'd seen those!

Life in Chinatown is interesting to say the least.
